3. What essential information needs to be communicated during a disaster or emergency?
The essential information that needs to be communicated are food, water, letting people know where you are, first aid kid and etc.

4. What information can be created before the emergency? What information needs to be communicated during the emergency?
The information that can be created before the emergency is that evacuate from the place and go to somewhere that is safe and have somany people. The information that needs to be communicated during the emergency is telling the people where to get food and water and etc.

5. What hardware and software is required to be able to communicate online? Give examples... Facebook, Social Networking Sites, RSS Feeds.
The hardware and software that could be communicated online are like Facebook, CNN online, Friendster and etc.

Forms of Communication

WHAT FORMS OF COMMUNICATION HAVE BEEN USED DURING RECENT DISASTERS SUCH AS The China EarthQuake, Hurricane Ike, Hurricane Katrina, The Asian Tsunami? EXAMPLE: CELL PHONES, RADIOS, TV, INTERNET, SATELLITE PHONE, AMATEUR RADIO.


There were lots forms of communication was used during these recent disasters and there is tv, internet, radio and satellites. TV could be used to show people around the world that parts of the world needed their help. Internet could be used for charity or first aid help and let people donate money through internet. Radio could be used for letting people know about something dangerous that are coming to their way. Satellites could help the weather forecast change and see when or where the disaster are coming.

Why is communication is so important during emergency?

Communication is very important during an emergency because when you are in a place that needs help and there is nobody there nearby you need to communicate to other people that can help you. You can use a cell phone, walkie talkie, radios, you could also use hand signals. By communicating to people, they can help you or maybe safe you.

NATURAL DISASTERS






Hurricane IKE hit Texas on Saturday 13th September 2008 at 2AM. Most of the damage was in Galveston, Texas at 2 am in the morning, knocking out power, water services, knocking down trees and damaging buildings. So far, eight people died during the hurricane, right now rescuers are still searching for people. People are evacuating from Texas.
